Leading Edge National Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and dependable General Material Receiver for a manufacturing/warehouse opportunity.

Position Overview
The General Material Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, and stocking incoming materials while ensuring shipments meet required documentation and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform receiving duties and assist with offloading materials.
• Inspect incoming shipments and verify piece counts and part IDs against bills of lading.
• Deliver warehouse and stockroom packages for inspection and unpacking.
• Inspect production items, plant supplies, and office supplies against packing slips and quality specifications.
• Deliver materials to the appropriate departments and stocking locations.
• Receive returned materials and place them in the designated area.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S practices.
• Provide backup support to Stockroom and Shipping as required.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience, particularly in shipping and receiving.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and process orders efficiently.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Valid lift truck licence.

Preferred Experience
Experience with third-party shipping methods such as FedEx, UPS, freight scheduling, and shipping is considered an asset.

• Follow all applicable OHSA requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Properly use and wear required PPE.
• Immediately report workplace hazards and safety concerns.
• Follow established safe work practices when operating equipment.
• Attend required health and safety training, including WHMIS and workplace orientation.
