Position Overview

Leading Edge National Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Welder – Rework for a manufacturing opportunity in Mississauga, ON. This position is responsible for performing welding repairs, rework, and modifications on fabricated components while ensuring completed work meets quality and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding rework, repairs, and modifications on fabricated components and assemblies.
• Identify weld defects and determine the appropriate rework method.
• Remove defective welds using grinding, gouging, cutting, or other approved methods.
• Perform MIG welding and other required welding processes.
• Complete welding touch-ups and finishing work.
• Use measuring and inspection tools to verify completed work.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, blueprints, and specifications.
• Complete production, rework, and quality documentation.
• Prioritize urgent rework to help minimize production delays.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S practices.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid welding certification is mandatory.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Ability to complete daily crane inspections.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Production line or manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Overhead crane and lifting attachment/chain experience is an asset
