Position Overview

Leading Edge National Staffing is currently recruiting an experienced Welder for a manufacturing opportunity in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, assembling, and fabricating components while ensuring finished work meets production and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble parts and components.
• Fabricate components according to work orders and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Operate MIG welding equipment, grinders, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools.
• Set equipment for different materials and thicknesses.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and specification requirements are met.
• Complete required documentation and barcode scanning.
• Follow production schedules and meet required output targets.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S practices.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid welding certification is mandatory.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Production or manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Overhead crane, lifting attachment, or chain experience is an asset
