Leading Edge National Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Blast Booth Operator to join a manufacturing team in Mississauga, Ontario.

Position Overview
The Blast Booth Operator is responsible for operating blasting equipment, inspecting completed work, assisting with material handling, and ensuring production and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
• Manually direct the nozzle over large parts to ensure all required areas are properly blasted.
• Operate blasting guns under pressure to remove blast residue.
• Inspect completed blasting work for quality and specification compliance.
• Monitor blast intervals to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Check and change blast drums as required.
• Confirm colours and materials for parts being blasted.
• Properly tag materials and verify model numbers.
• Assist with loading parts behind the blaster.
• Follow production schedules and meet required deadlines.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Complete required production documentation.
• Follow 6S / Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and on raised platforms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• 6 months to 3 years of related or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.

• Follow all applicable OHSA requirements, workplace policies and safe work procedures.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Immediately report workplace hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Participate in required health and safety training, including WHMIS and workplace orientation.
• Operate machinery and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
